NATIVE

 

Native plants are attractive and beneficial for the environment.  Once established native plants do not need fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides or watering.  By growing native plants, we are promoting the preservation of our ecosystem.

 

Most of our native trees have been grown from seeds collected locally in Zone 5a, making for hardy trees (due to provenance).

 

Some species we grow include: Redbud, Black Walnut, Shagbark Hickory, Red Oak, Pin Oak, Swamp White Oak, Burr Oak, Butternut, Blue-Beech, Hackberry, Tullip-Tree, Kentucky Coffeetree, Sugar Maple, Red Maple, Silver Maple, Dogwood, Sycamore, Birch, Chestnut.
